A species that I am sure is on every fisherman’s bucket list of fish to catch in their lifetime - the silver king, more commonly known as the tarpon. Those who have experienced them, will attest to the tarpon’s supreme power and spectacular jumping abilities. Apart from their reputation as an angling species, tarpon are quite unusual in appearance, with primitive features such as exaggerated silver plates on the head region and large scales covering the length of the body.
